Hey there! I’m Natalye, and I’m a word aficionado. I’m happy when I’m writing, happier when I’m editing, and happiest when I’m reading.

My love of words dates back to my childhood. I learned to read early on and was always the kid maxing out my library checkout limit and constantly devouring any book I could get my hands on. Let’s not even talk about the late fees I accrued over the years.

Meanwhile, writing is something that always came naturally to me, as evidenced by the countless short stories I wrote as a child, the notebooks full of angsty teenage poetry, and the many years of meticulous journaling I did (both online and off).

Fast forward to college, when I desperately wanted to write but was convinced a career in writing was impossible. Then one day at age 19, unhappy with my choice of major, my parents asked me what would make me happy. “Writing,” I said. And despite my protesting and my disbelief that I could ever succeed, they encouraged me to pursue it.

I immediately changed my major and graduated in 2007 with my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. And then I went on to get my Master of Arts in English, with a focus on Creative Writing, in 2011.

In the time since, I’ve worked as a stringer for the Associated Press, in university and professional newsrooms, as a contributor to music magazines and blogs, as a tutor and writing coach, as a copywriter for brands big and small, as a copy editor for graphic novels and comics, as an editor in tech, and much more. Oh, and somewhere in the midst of all that, I even published a book!

Today I live in Berlin, Germany, but I work with clients and companies across the globe. I’m always open to collaborating with kind and radical people who are doing creative and interesting things, and I love work that makes use of my skills while challenging me to grow them.
